Orangery Designs By Vivaldi
All our orangery projects are bespoke designed and specified to the individual clients requirements, but essentially there are four main orangery designs, Fascia Orangery, Parapet Brickwork Orangery, Orangery Style Conservatory and Loggia Orangery, we outline the basic design principles on this page, and show a few examples of our work, feel free to contact us to discuss your preferred orangery design option.
Orangery Designs - Fascia Orangery
This is probably our most popular actual orangery design, the Fascia Orangery design. If solid walls are chosen for the side elevations then usually we install catnic lintels above the side elevation windows and doors. The roof structure is then installed on top of the walls. If the client prefers not t have too much brickwork then, we can use hardwood pillars, which typically would be build around a very string steel subframe. The height of the roof, to allow for the roof structure and insulation is usually around 375mm, and the roof structure is finished externally around the perimeter with a decorative fascia. This fascia can be either timber, aluminium or uPVC and can be any colour. Click the image to enlarge. A fascia orangery needs to comply with full building regulation approval, as a Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Partner we take care of all compliance issues.
Orangery Designs - Parapet Brickwork
This is probably the most traditional of our Orangery designs Parapet brickwork orangeries feature additional height brickwork above the height of the side windows, which conceals the roof structure from outside. Usually the top of the wall is finished with a coping stone. Vivaldi parapet brickwork orangery projects feature hardwood, upvc or aluminium windows and doors. Vivaldi Construction orangeries are all structurally proven in winds of 135mph.
Orangery Designs - Orangery Style Conservatory
We have recently launched this Orangery designs option, the Orangery style conservatory. Technically it is actually not defined as an orangery, it has a glass roof which means that technically it is defined as a conservatory and like all conservatories, is consequently exempt from the need for full building regulation compliance. It does though have the internal plastered pelmet, usually with inset spotlights, which makes it look just like a conservatory from inside. We also install decorative external aluminium cornice to make it look like an orangery from outside. As the images show we can install brickwork and lintels above the side elevation windows and doors, which raises the height of the pelmet internally. The Orangery Style Conservatory is our most affordable orangery design.
Orangery Designs - Loggia Orangery
As an alternative to the Orangery Style Conservatory, with the roof supported by brick pillars we offer the Loggia Orangery. It features superinsulated corner pillars which combine excellent strength with market leading thermal performance. The Loggia is available in 6 colour options including the green as shown.
