Low Pitch Conservatories - The Benefits
Our low pitch conservatories have a clean, simple appearance - Our lean to style conservatory's appearance is one of the reasons why it has been known as the conservatory industry standard design for height restricted properties for many years.
Low pitch conservatories provide effective use of space - Due to the lean to conservatories standard square shape it utilizes the available space very effectively.
Low pitch conservatories are perfect for properties with restricted back heights - For clients who prefer the clean simple lines of a lean to, low pitch conservatory but have back height restrictions, such as on a bungalow, our bespoke design service allows us to design and install a bespoke low pitch conservatory that is still attractive and structurally proven. We can install a low pitch conservatory from 30 degrees down to only 2 degrees.
Low Pitch Conservatory Roofs - Case Studies
Low pitch conservatory on bungalow - We can increase the roof pitch on our shallow angle conservatories by installing a specially fabricated boxgutter to the bungalow fascia, as seen in this woodgrain conservatory on a Peterborough bungalow above and to the right. The boxgutter has the additional benefit of taking water away from the bungalow roof so it does not all run over the conservatory roof. This low pitch bungalow conservatory in Peterborough has been constructed from Rosewood PVCu to match the existing bungalow windows.
Low pitch conservatory in Northampton - This example low pitch conservatory roof on a bungalow in Northampton below and to the left features a bespoke raised boxgutter to the rear and adjoins a flat roof to the left. It has made a fantastic improvement to our clients home. We always start by ensuring that your low pitch conservatory installation will be structurally sound. We ensure your conservatory design will withstand winds in excess of 130 mph. You can watch our conservatory system being structurally tested.
Low pitch conservatory in Peterborough - The below right conservatory was built with a shallow slope on the roof to fit perfectly on the clients bungalow. It is specified with our very latest technology glass in the roof, which has a truly amazing heat retention performance so it can be enjoyed through the coldest winter. The roof glass also rejects 78% of solar heat gain to help prevent excessive summer heat build up. For our clients convenience we have even specified self-cleaning glass in the roof.
Low Pitch Conservatories - Material and Structural Information
Materials Information - All of our low pitch conservatories are available in a finish to suit your existing home, the most popular is white PVCu but we also have numerous different woodgrain finishes as well as any number of painted colours. All the woodgrain and coloured finishes are also available with white inside for greater light reflection within the room. In addition we have pioneered the use of the latest technology glazing solutions that provide a room that is both warmer in winter and cooler in summer, we would be pleased to visit you to demonstrate the remarkable thermal performance of these products.
Structural Information - Whilst a lean to roof is a more straightforward design, if installed at a low pitch due to height restrictions on the existing house, the rafter bars need to be stronger to reduce the effects of deflection. We have a specially designed roof system that can be installed and structuraly proven at a pitch as low as 2 and a half degrees. The wallplate can be attached to either a brick wall or the existing bungalow fascia. A Vivaldi low pitch conservatory represents the ultimate evolution of the conservatory into a room that is structurally sound and thermally efficient enough to be enjoyed all year round.
